Rear Main seal Help
I am going to replace this seal it is leaking, does anyone know if this is a 2 piece seal and can I do this with out removing the motor?
I was going to just remove the trans and try and replace it that way is this ok?

Rear Main seal Help
You did not say what year model you are referring to, but I can tell you 91 model uses a 1 piece seal. You must remove trans and flywheel to get at it. Be sure to use a sealant around the outer seal surface to seal the joint in the rear main cap. While there, check the seal on engine oil pan where it wraps around rear main cap for signs of leakage.
