I wouldn't be so sure it doesn't have a block heater. It was a special order to get one without it. And, if I recall correctly, the "cold weather delete" option went away before 2003.
I was going to say that I thought all 7.3's came stock with a heater, I know my Florida truck has it, I love it on the 2 days a year it gets a little chilly!

It's easy to check, just look at the freeze plugs on the drivers side and u should see one there.
I would try the buzz test 2-3 times before starting it cold. If it helps I would be leaning towards injectors as well.
With customers, I never know if the vehicle will show up again....even if I make a rock solid diag.

All, please clarify/deny this; glow plug sleeves come out commonly necessitating a head pull. Yes or no? I wanna try to get a compression guage on this thing for under $200 without high-risk compression test.
