So my 95 f350 5.8 regular cab dually just seems like a slug compared to my 95 f250 and it's only 1500 pounds more the truck is slow to get up to speed and slows down on hills and over drive is use less cuz it just struggles but it seems to be running fine it has new
Plugs
Ford racing wires
Msd cap and rotor
Fuel pressure regulator
O2 sensor
K&N drop in filter
Fuel filter
Truck has 4:10 gears and only codes in it are for the evr solenoid for the egr I've checked the egr is seated.I'm just about out of ideas iv checked fuel pressure tps voltage etc etc
It is a code 558 and 332 inefficient egr flow pulled them with my good red brick snap on scanner so it tells me the code I'm not into counting flashes any more lol, but the evr is bad I bench tested it but I know that's not causing power loss like this my f250 I have the egr blocked off
Do you think your F250 would do any better with 1500lbs in the bed? An all stock 5.8 isn't enough motor for a 7000lb truck, so you need to either live with it, upgrade the 5.8, or replace it with a bigger motor.
Why would Ford stick such a under powered motor in a f350. I have a set of shorty headers for it I'm gonna remove the cat air pump etc.. and a set of 1.7 rockers I was thinking maybe mass air conversion maybe?
They put even more underpowered motors in the f150s because that's all they had at the time.. it's all everyone had. People have become spoiled with current vehicles, there was a time not long ago when every vehicle slowed down on big hills.

A very good point to consider, Many trucks an even old cars of vintage it was not uncommon to downshift or change a gear if you wanted to hold speed on a hill or you just slowed up and lived with it. These days we have trucks that pull 70 all day and people complain if they downshift even once on a steep grade without a load. I should know this struggle I drive a guttless four banger and a F-150 with a 5.0 of all engines in her.
"Only" 1500 lbs more? That's about 1.5 seconds off your quarter mile time!
It ain't gonna get much faster. I doubt you bought a 1 ton dually to go fast so just be reasonable with your expectations. You can always sell it and get one with a 460 if the 351 just don't do it for you. Or swap the 4.10's out for some 4.56's. Not sure what's available for that axle but I don't doubt you can find a better ratio.
I just want enough to be able to use over drive up a hill and not slow down slowly, I'm thinking maybe
Headers
Air pump delete
Cat delete
1.7 rockers
Electric fans
High output coil(msd)
Just simple small mods that's all I can think of right now
This is purely my opinion but I would grab a 300 or 460 intake tube out of the junkyard or eBay, bump the timing 2 degrees and run short tubes into a 3" y-pipe to a 3" muffler. Then if you want more after that, 1.7 RR's paired with a ported lower intake would my next move. Personally I wouldn't do things like the coil and air pump delete or cat delete. Save the cash for the good stuff, while leaving it as stock as possible.. I've tired the "change a lot of small things" modification method before, while it can be fun, it isn't worth it.
Longtubes will produce the biggest torque gains with a smallish(2.5") single exhaust system behind it, that means the stock Y pipe and cats have to go. After that I'd suggest 1.7 rockers and GT40 heads or if you were to stumble across a great deal for a lightly used Vortec supercharger kit you could go that route because nothing boosts torque like forced induction and torque is what a heavy truck needs.
