Question turbo identification


How do you tell what vehicle this turbo came from ?

Its a 7.3 turbo 99+ but I cant tell from the size in the picture if its a e99 turbo or 99.5-03.

Is there a trick to this question that I'm missing?

I was trying to see if anyone knew if it was a van turbo . Waist gate = truck turbo and no waist gate = van .... correct ?

It has the waste gate actuator mounts on the compressor housing. Cant tell if there is a wastegate until we see the turbine housing(exhaust side)

I saw it ,its got a waist gate. How much do turbos like this in good shape go for ?

It is called a GTP-38. You can find them on eBay and Amazon under that nomenclature.

What year van turbos fit in our trucks ? I read on another forum that I was lerking on 2000 to 2003. But the poster wasn't 100% sure.
