Hi I have a 1974 Lincoln 460 that I put into my 77 F150 and I was wondering if I could get some advice on the easiest ways to get more horsepower out of it without breaking the bank?
My father told me that he did put a mild performance cam in about 8 years ago before it was passed on to me but thats about it as far as I know. I'm gonna guess it maby makes somewhere between 220 and 250 horsepower but still feels quite sluggish and I would like to get more out of it.

I think the easiest would be a straight up timing set, re curve the dizzy and a set of headers with straight thru exhaust. Shouldn't bust the bank and you'll feel it in the seat of your pants.

I might be getting a 460 out of a 74 police intercepter, are there any major difference between it and my Lincoln and if so would it be better to just swap parts or do a complete engine swap?
