I have a roush 427r engine I'm going to put into a 55' f100. I was wondering what you guys think on slapping this to a tko 600? I'm not going to lie and pretend I know a lot about cars, but any input would be appreciated. Cost is not an issue and if you could build this from the bellhousing back what would you do? Thanks for your time, gentlemen.
Good morning, there are definitely guys on here that can answer your questions, but Im not one of them, so while your waiting for your answer. I just wanted to welcome you to the site.

The TKO 600 is a great transmission. I dont see you having an issue with the power/torque output from the 427R and that trans. I know a lot if people who swapped out broken T5-Zs (best T5 variant) for a TKO 500 or 600.
That's just down right pretty! I'm diggin' your project, Jose. Welcome to the forum!
As for your transmission, I would think whatever Jack Roush used behind that engine would, and could be made to work fine. The TKO trannies are pretty stout. Just know that the engine management computers are different for manual and auto trans applications. I'm not sure if Jack put autos in the Mustangs with his name on them.
The TKO 500 is good for 500 ft lbs. The TKO 600 is good for 600 ft lbs. Both are 5 speeds. The T56 is a 6 speed good for 700 ft lbs. I'd go with either the 600 or T56 for that animal. Just depends if you prefer 5 or 6 speeds.
To answer your question exactly email or call Hurst Driveline Conversions | TREMEC 5 speed, TREMEC 6 speed Overdirve Transmissions TKO T56 Magnum and Magnum XL Kits. They will email you a quote for everything you need in a kit. Good guys. Highly recommended. Just for a ball park price, the compete kit for my TKO 600 to a 5.0 Coyote was 4500. Add a 750- grand or so for the 6 speed. The 6 speeds are very long. Keep in mind that is everything needed. Pilot bearing to slip yoke. I went with a hydraulic slave slcylinder kit from Mike Forte. It was extra.
The 600's have multiple shift locations available. The mid shift option puts the shifter in a nice position for a truck like ours. Not sure if the T56 does.
Good luck with the build. Looks lime its going well.

Thanks for the advice and link bro. I gave them a call, but they specialized in kits for mustangs, however, they gave me a number to Scott at modern drivelines and he helped me out with a kit exactly for my needs.
Nice! Out of curiosity what 427r? The modern modular forced induction Mustang 427R motor or the old skool iron block 427r crate engine? Either way pretty bada$$.
