Have any of you considered or done a gauge addition to your towing truck? Pyro, Exhaust, boost, voltage, etc.? I had these on my '06 F250 diesel but never found that they added anything over the stock dash gauges. Now the '16 F350 diesel gauges are even more basic and was thinking it might be a good addition. Thoughts?
In my 2004 6.0L F250 I had a triple gauge pillar with Pyro, Boost, and Trans Temp AND a ScanGauge II on the dash showing ECT, EOT, FICM Voltage, and Battery Voltage.
Decided to go a different route in my 2015 6.7L F250.
and the https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en Torque Pro App.
Then used an old Samsung Galaxy S4 I had laying around and attached it to a cup holder mount.
So far I'm really liking it. A lot more gauges available at one time on each screen. My only complaint is about the Bluetooth adapter. It doesn't seem to be very good with lots of data transfer and I get error messages when I enable "faster communication" which is supposed to refresh gauges data more quickly. I turned that feature off and it still seems to work fine.
Well let's hope you figure it out and share with us your solution.
Me thinks your reply was meant to go to another post, as I was not trying to figure out anything. Rather, I noted I found the OBDII-Bluetooth-Torque App set up interesting.
In the interest of full disclosure I should also add I do not even own a cell phone, so ...
Ginther I like that setup. I have a dash boss that works ok. The only thing is on my new truck it runs the battery down. I would keep it plugged in on the 6.0 24/7 and never had a problem. For some reason it stays on and kills the battery on this 6.7. Something doesn't seem right to me.
