It's a long wait for the next generation, still. The last year before a major redesign is always your best bet. The last steel Ford truck. Steel is real. Sweet Sixteen (2016). I only wish it had better lights.
Looking to replace my '05 F350 SD, struggling with going with a '16 or waiting for the '17.
Starting to lean towards a '16. I have a truck camper and am now wondering if Torklift will have tie downs and a Superhitch available and if Air Lift will have an airbag kit available right away.
Current body style will look 18 years old ( which it is ).......once the '17s hit the streets......gonna be a lot of guys making payments on trucks they'll regret having bought when a '17 pulls up beside em

I feel like my truck will look like a Super Duty, while I won't be able to tell the new ones apart from F150's.
If I want more bells and whistles, I can put them on myself. But, the new stuff always costs more, and is more complex. More BS goobermint regulations and all that crap.
Plus, at least I know the frame is good, and the suspension works. There is always something to tweak anyway.

I can tell the difference between a 1/2 ton Chevy or Ram and 1 ton any day of the week. While cabs will be similar, the overall truck will certainly appear different based on stance and badging.
I have a 2011 job 1 f250, over 107,000 miles. I love my truck.
I am going with the newer better featured truck in 2017. Anyone notice the huge moonroof? Love the upfitter switches on overhead console. Not including the new sync system. Flat floor in rear, light in bed...LEDs in front, all the cameras,.......Way too many features to not want one.
Agreed to to the poster, those 2016 guys paying payments and they might as well have a 2011.
I WILL order the 2017 the day I am allowed. Always have ordered mine.

Steel rusts. And the 16' MY is as ugly as snot next to the new truck.
Just took delivery of my new 2016 f350 diesel Platinum.
The deal was so good and they gave me above book value for my trade, also if I do decide to get the new 2017 my ford dealer will trade me out and put me in a new truck when the 17's are available. Got to love Ford and there attention to customer loyalty.
So I say if need a new truck today ask your dealer if they would let you trade up when the 17's are available.
Of course they will let you trade up to a '17 when they are available. That just means more money for them and Ford. What do you think they are going to do, say "no thanks, you can't trade in a '16 for a '17."

Current body style is not 18 years old. The 3rd generation was from 2011-2016.
