I haven't played too much with Sync 3 but I do like it better from the experiences I've had. I'm not a tech guy when it comes to vehicles, but if you like the app concept then its worth waiting for. If you just use it to tune the radio and answer phone calls I have EDIT "NOT HAD" issues with the current generation for several years.
I have a 2016 Escape and it has the new Sync 3. My 2014 Escape had the older Sync. Sync 3 for me is a worthwhile improvement. Easier to use and more features.
My son ordered a 2016 F-150 and he waited on the 2016 because of the Sync 3
In addition to Sync 3, an XLT with the 302A package now gets some small improvements in Dynamic Hitch Assist on the rearview camera, heated front seats, and (with super cab and crew cab) rear under-seat storage...
Seriously?!?! I just went through the configurator, and it let me do the longer box with the crew cab (6-1/2'). Or are you talking about the 8' box? I thought I saw that on the configurator too.
He is just teasing me. I don't get the 5.5 bed popularity so he is trying to get me upset.

I hope they fix the Super Cab to get a better crash test result.
Bam!!!
So to speak. The Supercab does not do very well in the 1/4 overlap crash test. I was soooo close to buying the SC until I saw the Youtube video of both types. Now, it's a Supercrew, for sure.
I think Ford is going to make changes. Who knows?
Look at how well be B-pillar maintains the passenger compartment vs. the supercab....Wow!!
Also, notice how the test dummy's head completely misses the side air bag and the steering wheel bag. This type of test is very much real world, as most head on wrecks seem to be offset by this type of degree. Scary.
Don't crash, you'll be alright. I drive a Fiesta so all you guys will kill me if you hit me. I got other things to worry about.
LOL
All the wrecks I've been in, including my beautiful new black 02 Lighting were from drivers not paying a bit of attention do the task at hand. Every one.
Be safe and drive that little scooter like you are being chased by a mobile car crusher...
