I actually like Tow/Haul mode - at least for the Hauling side of the equation. (Haven't towed more than about 4,500 lbs. so far)

I recently had 3000+ lbs. of Belgian Block in my bed. Wasn't thinking about the route home and found myself at the top of a mile+ long, 6 to 7 degree hill. Oops! Figured, I'd be warming up my brakes pretty good. Put it into Tow/Haul and started down. When I hit 30 mph, I started braking and the tranny downshifted on its own accord - it ended up in 2nd gear for the rest of the hill - and it maintained my speed really well. I was impressed because it worked much better than any of my previous trucks, and I didn't have to set the gear selection manually.

Like I said, I haven't towed heavy yet with this vehicle, so it remains to be seen how it works when I'm towing my dump trailer with 10K lbs. of gravel in it.

I sure would like to see paddle shifters in the 2017's. They put them in many cars where they would never be used thinking that they are just for performance driving.

I would kill for paddle shifters in these trucks. Stupid not to have them.

I would settle for the shifter to be in the console like the 150's.

It does have a paddle shifter.
Put in "M" Plus upshifts, Minus downshifts.

That switch on the shifter is no paddle! I had Irish Dominican nuns for elementary school teachers. I know a paddle when I see one!

Yah and for any kind of actual performance driving that system sucks. I know it's not what the truck is designed for but to put that functionality on the shift selector lever and have not thought to put some true paddle shifters in is silly. Hell even my wife's mazda3 has paddle shifters on the steering wheel and manual mode on the shift lever. That's in a economy car that cost half as much new as my truck.

Just saying it's an oversight imo. My truck with 295/60/20's handles fantastic and I have a lot of roads near me that are really fun and twisty to drive. I'd love to be able to manually select gears without my hands leaving the steering wheel. It would be a huge plus to anyone who likes to drive in a spirited fashion and it really bugs me that the functionality is right there on the shift lever. So close, yet so far. Lol.

I'm seriously considering trying to add paddle shifters to the truck so if anyone has done this or seen any quality aftermarket stuff they might recommend, please let me know.
