I am tired of that any time I have an issue that needs a quick browse I always have to make a separate appointment. I have gone to two different dealers in my city. I figured the rear ended click would be part of the multipoint inspection....states under the transmission/drive axle section. I really wish ford corporate could read these but it almost impossible to get a hold of any one higher up on the totem pole.
Hi Mikes150,
I can document your feedback so it'll be available for the appropriate folks to review. PM me your full name, best daytime phone number, dealer info, and any details about the experience you'd like me to include. I'll take it from there!
Hello all! I'm taking mine in Friday for the windshield wipers not turning off. I also have the "click" in what sounds like the drive line, especially when I back into my driveway that is on a small incline. That just started about a month ago. The truck has 58k on it and I did buy the extended warranty. Do I need to mention tsb 14-0090, or will they know what to look for? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum, ltmerritt! Your dealership should be able to see any applicable service actions when they look up your VIN, but it wouldn't hurt to mention it during your appointment. What's your truck's model year? Let us know how things go at the dealer; I'll be here if you need my help.
Hello Crystal! My truck is a 2012. My dealer has been great, so far. And, they should be! I have purchased 5 vehicles from them since 2008 with three of those being new.
I'll keep you posted. Thank you for your concern, and your assistance.

Thank you for your loyalty to Ford, ltmerritt! I'm glad to hear that you've got an excellent dealership. I'll keep my eyes peeled for your updates.
I have a 2013 F-150 that I have had bad experience with ever since I drove it off the lot. The day after I bought the vehicle, I took it on a 2 hour trip down I-95 and it turned into an hour drive. It started shaking at high speeds and then wouldn't go above a certain speed. The transmission was failing!! With 80 miles on it!! So long story short ... after a long ordeal with the dealership (which I will never go back to again because of their lack of customer service), they wanted to rebuild the transmission but I wanted a new vehicle. I finally got the new one after they had to ship it in from another state.
Anyway ... I have BOTH of these issues. They have looked at the "clicking" sound in reverse and I have received 2 different answers. (1) "Ford vehicles do it all the time ... my car does it as well." Uhhhh ... no Ms. they don't all do it. I have had a Ford Truck for well over 15 years and mine has NEVER done that. (2) "they looked at the linkage, lubed all issues and said that should take care of it." Well guess what ... it hasn't. Still does it all the time, every day when it goes into reverse.
Now my windshield wipers won't turn off! This is more annoying than the clicking noise! Completely dry day and my wipers are on the slowest delay. Plus in one of the middle "delay" positions it runs at full normal speed when it should be delayed by a few seconds.
I see that others are having the same issues. My question is, if Ford knows of these issues that ALL trucks seem to be having ... why isn't there a "global recall" for them. At NO COST to the consumer! I will take it back to the same dealer and tell them the same issue that I have been having and they will say that they "can't find anything wrong with it" or "it doesn't make the noise for us." Really?? You are kidding me right??
Oh one more issue ... my doors seem to be "locked" when they should be open. Meaning when I go to open the door, it takes two pulls of the handle to open the door. It's almost like the door lock "snags" for lack of a better word.
I am glad I found this forum. I hope you guys can help me out with this. I appreciate any feedback anyone might have.

Welcome to the forum, Chris150! I'll be glad to research some ways to help you out. How many miles are on your truck currently? FYI, a TSB is a technical service bulletin.

Thanks for the quick reply, Chris150! I suggest making an appointment at your dealer to have the windshield wipers checked out. When was the last time they diagnosed the clicking sound for you?

Clicking sound was diagnosed twice within the last year and a half. Last time being about 8 months ago.

Hi Chris150,
Since it's been a while, go ahead and make another appointment to have this and the wipers looked at. Once you have that set up, reach out to me, and I'll notify your regional customer service manager. You may not have access to PMs yet, so if that's the case, send an email to custserv@ford.com. When writing, please include your full name, best daytime phone number, VIN, current mileage, and servicing dealership. Put my name ("Crystal") in the subject line and post here once you've sent it.
