I'm switching cabs. My 99 windshield rusted so I bought a 2005. There are subtle differences. I listed the 99 cab on CL and had it sold in one day. This was the last thing removed and I cant for the life of me remember how it was mounted. It looks like I might be fabbing a new bracket! A picture would be fantastic!
diesel ABS unit mounts under the driver side battery below the headlight.
you need to remove the battery and battery trap to get to it.
gas ABS unit mounts to the inner fender under the air filter between the battery and firewall. to access the gas ABS unit you only need to remove the air filter housing.
and they are different units between diesel and gas.
i think it has something to do with the diesel being hydraboost brakes and gas being vacuum boost.
I'm finding out that this bracket wont fit in this cab....I'm thinking that I should have got the old battery tray support from the old cab before I sold it.
