#1. ok guys my orange intake boots are leaking. these are the ones under the Intake (spider) going down to the heads. I am also going to do the 6.0 intercooler & trans cooler swap @ the same time. my question is other than new boots & intake inserts from riff raff is there anything else i'm going to need in other words other than the intake am I going to have to remove anything else that I'm going to have to remove that I'm going to need gaskets, seals or oring's for while doing this fix.
#2. any advise or links to the 6.0 intercooler & trans cooler swap would be greatly appreciated. it would be great if I could round up all the parts before hand so is not tohave to stop & make a parts run during the swap.
thanks again all comments & suggestions welcome & appreciated.
Mike
Still looking for the inter cooler write up, can't seem to locate it. Should be very straight forward though. There is a sticky at the top of the main page for the 1999-2003 7.3 that has a list of tech links. In it you will find a link to a guy named wood-n-things, he used to post here. He has a nice group of technical specs and modifications, that's where I got that link for the tranny cooler. Here is a link to his page.
Be sure to get the correct boots for the intercooler- they're different than stock. Also round up the adapters for the trans cooler lines beforehand- they're not a standard stocked part (but easy to find and order).
The alternative to the one piece adapters is a hodgepodge of heavy fittings...
Sorry I don't have access to my library of links right now!
