There is only one 5.0/302 windsor block, it began production in the '60s as a flat tappet block and went roller ready in 1987, end of production was in 2000 or there about.
If the block hasn't been tapped for the lifter hold down tray, that will need to be done. And care needs to be taken as it's in the area of the cam journals.
Will also need link bar roller lifters for the retro swap as the lifter bosses are shorter on the flat tappet cam versus the roller cam with roller lifters.
It can be done. I've been thinking of doing a flat tappet 351 block and installing link bar lifters.
If it's currently not roller, it is capable of going roller swapping in factory parts, no machine work.
The Mustang 5.0 got a roller cam starting in 1985 so unless that '94 no longer has the original motor it should be a roller. If it's not the original motor then as long as the block is 1987 vintage or later(when the 5.0 casting was updated to be roller ready) it could be converted to a roller with a factory roller cam assembly without any machine work.

Thank you for the clarity ... It is factory as delivered except for wear items and the slightly squished nose that's been repaired, the whole car has been painted.
The PO is a relation by marriage and bought the car new so the history is known, it's been serviced by Ford all it's life until he got it!
He says it does the best donuts of any car he has ever owned!

Yes these are light cars and the rear suspension geometry doesn't produce the best hookup so it's pretty easy to break the tires lose, this is what gives all the 5.0 Mustang guys the mistaken impression that the 5.0 produces good lowend torque.
Haven't had it on the pads yet, Specs I found say 3452#, That's not all that light.
Depends on the model, the convertible is the heaviest at about 3500lbs, the hatch back next at 3300lb and the notch back(trunk) is the lightest at just a touch over 3000lbs.. stripped down this can be a 26-2800lb car.

Requires a different rear axle linkage system, they have them all figured out now and these even make good road racing cars when setup correctly.

Same belhousing pattern but it's not built as well.. won't last under abusive use. However there are all kinds of aftermarket T5 suppliers now that can build a T5 to just about any power level.

You know, I'm setting here trying to find the image in my head if it's a Hatch or Notch, I believe Notch! I'll have to ask him.

I knew that ...
Wow, I knew something!

The input shaft length is our concern.
I keep telling him to buy a built one if you are going to play with it!
Hey, he's an idjit, he'll just keep breaking stuff instead of upgrading when fixing, Something we battle about constantly, I am the exact opposite!
This is why I don't physically work on his stuff!
EDIT:
I'm gonna let the OP have his thread back ... Maybe I'll start one when I know more about the car and it uses!

I guess that would be a true statement, cam questions out the window for a little while .... information is good but that may be right on it's own build thread questions ....
