Engine Mounts

The rubber pads on the mounts for my '63's 292 are pretty mushy. I'd like to jack the motor up an inch and slip new pads in, but in doing so might screw up every linkage and line on the truck. Any thoughts or experience?

Have someone watch everything as the motor comes up. You'll probably have to remove the rad hoses and throttle linkage but exhaust pipes, electrical, and fuel line should be ok.

Mounts

I was just able to do this on Monday. I have the front clip off of my truck right now as I doing some work to the radiator support. While I was in there I changed the freeze plugs and found that I only had one bolt in on one mount. Nothing on the other side. I was able to jack up my motor in my 65 no problem. Just went slow and watched very carefully. Was able to get some bolts after I changed my freeze plugs and bolted it all back together without any issues.

The only 1965's that use the same setup as 1961/64's are F100/250 4WD's. 2WD's are completely different!
