Theft Prevention
Seems that there has been a problem at my place of employment with thefts in the parking lot. I work swing shift (2pm-2am). It started with the newer vehicles getting their catalytic converters stolen. Now, it seems the've moved on to stealing trucks. In particular, a 2006 F250 6.0 diesel with lift kit, larger tires, etc. The police think that they made off with the truck by using a tow truck, as this has been a common practice lately. Do you guys have any theft prevention tips besides chaining my truck to a light pole? 88 f150 4X4 5spd.

Well if there using a tow truck, disabling the ignition isn't going to stop them. Possibly the only way is an alarm that has the sensitivity adjust up so someone bumps it set it off would help. After all if they want it bad enough they usually end up getting it. Or you can sit outside with a 12 ga. Shot gun with dear slugs

Damn y'all are funny!
As it was said, if they want it, they gonna get it. I have an alarm with ign stop and use a club on the wheel. No it won't stop em but it's gonna take some time to get it. Maybe enough time I can get there with my lead implant actuator. My alarm also buzzed the key fob.

Stealing them with a rollback, there is nothing you can do to stop that unless you wanna sit outside with a 12 Ga as mentioned.
If your truck gets stolen then all you can hope to do is track it down. Look into Lojack, not sure if it's any good but it's something to check out. Or, roll your own homing beacon and find the lowlifes yourself. Although if they have a truck to do the thefts with then they are probably pro's... you may not want to go at that alone.
Call your local cop shop and tell them you want one of them decoy vehicles parked in the lot. They're set up with cameras and tracking devices.
