I also see no need to rebuild the transfer case when all it needs is a seal or two.
I pulled the transfer case on my Suburban and replaced all three seals for less than $40. Kind of a bear getting it back in, but I did it lying on my back with the TC balanced on my gut.

If you do end up dropping the trans and xfer case, here is a helping "arm" way of doing it.
