I am new to the site, but I am looking for a DAOR-B power steering pulley. I have a 1979 f150 4x4 lariat and a bent pulley. no one seems to have a replacement... any help?

Judging from just the part # I can't tell which type of power steering pump you have, but some of them were used from the mid-late 70's into the early-mid 90's. I'd hit a junkyard with your old one and start looking. That's a pretty easy junkyard pull.

It does not make any difference what type of P/S pump the OP has, as it all depends on the application for the pulley.
OP needs a pulley marked D0AR-B which was used with the Ford/Thompson P/S pump used thru 1977 and the Ford C-II P/S pump introduced in 1978.
Ford/Thompson pump has a steel reservoir, the P/S pressure hose threads onto the pump.
Ford C-II P/S pump has a plastic reservoir, the P/S pressure hose has a straight tube with an o-ring at the pump end. It connects to the pump using a qwik connect fitting.

Thanks for the responses...
I called that mustang shop in CA and they said they had it but I just got it and it has "DOAR-B1" on it...
Looks like the same diameter pulley but the offset doesn't look the same. Any idea of the difference?
Also was given a DOAR-A... Its slightly bigger but would probably work but won't give me the same rpm. Anyone ever try to use the "A" on their truck?

D0AR-B1 is the same as D0AR-B // D0AR-A or D0AR-3D673-A = D0AZ-3A733-A Applications:
thanks guys... I found one. it looks like I have a valve stuck open. no compression on #4. can the valve cover/head be pulled without pulling the engine out? AC looks like it is going to make that difficult
The valve cover and head should be removable in chassis. For the head, in general you unbolt the AC compressor and move it out of the way without disconnecting the refrigerant lines. That way no contamination in the AC and no need to re-charge.
With a suspected stuck valve, best to pull the valve cover first and have a look see. Turn the engine over by hand and watch the valve action. If it is stuck, likely there is a bent pushrod also. If it sat for a while, one of the valves may have rusted and stuck in a guide. Best repair if that's the case is to get the head rebuilt at a good machine shop. They can check/correct condition of all the valves & guides. I had to do that once on a Dodge 225 6 cylinder in a boat.
