Giving it a try
Hello all:
I'm don't participate on many forums, but enjoy sharing info and stories and am always looking for tips for my truck(s).
I'm the son of a retired small town Ford dealer and own a 1958 F100 that he sold new to his father-in-law (my maternal granddad). Needless to say it has heavy sentimental value.
I acquired it in 1978, eventually brought it up as a (rough but dependable) daily driver, and used it until the third member ring gear broke around 1989. It has since been in storage until about a month ago and... here I go.
I hope to find some good info here and maybe can also be of a little help.
It's sad that the '57 - '60 doesn't get any more respect!
