What does the container say? To add, 50/50 is OK. When flushing you want straight coolant. Add 50% of the total volume with straight coolant and then top off with distilled. You do this because of the remaining liquid in the system that you can't get out.

I read the bottle it is a 50/50 mix with distilled water, I just thought it was something different with the diesel, and only reason why I questioned cause ford said to mix with nothing, but any other I've done always been a 50/50 mix thanks

Total cooling system capacity including the degas bottle is 27.5 qts. If you drain the radiator by the lower hose or the draincock you'll remove 1/2 the system capacity--about 14 qts. Therefore it takes 14 qts of 100% coolant added back to the system to get a 50/50 mix if you do a complete flush and fill.

Ok so ford was right by telling me just 4 gal straight, cause thats how I was going to do it, by undoing the lower hose, because my system is clean, have coolant filter on it, so just drain and add 14qts straight ford gold coolant, right

Well, if the 14qts remaining in the engine are straight distilled water, yes. If it's a 50/50 mix then you'll want to add 14qts of premix.

Are you going from something other than Ford Gold - Ford Gold?

If your dumping out the green coolant, you'll need a series of flushes to get that out, they don't mix well. Neither does Ford Gold -EC1 rated coolant.
