I have a 98 F150 4.6 with a broke throttle cable... This is the second one I have replaced. The first one was repaired using a solder fix found on Google. Replacement came from salvage yard. Ford number F75Z-9A758-LA is discontinued and I have no idea what to do at this point. HELP PLEASE!!!
The mfger is not required to supply parts past 7 years.
Your 10 years past that time limit.
Search the internet for a vendor that buys those Ford parts past the required supply dates.
Look for the name GREEN.
Find out why your cables are not lasting.
Is it a mounting problem, a routing problem, kinking, stress etc that should not be happening? It's to important a part to have an issue with.
They should last the life of the truck.
Good luck.
