Possibly dumb wheel question
Been lurking for quite a while now, but I want to tap into some of the knowledge on this board and I want to start off with an easy one...What sized wheels will fit my ex? I found these on craigslist, but I don't know much about wheels...
THIS IS A SET OF (4) FACTORY ALLOY CHROME 20" FORD F250 F350 SUPER DUTY POLISHED WHEELS AND 275/65R20 TIRES. THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, 8 LUG, 20X8, 8 SPOKE, BOLT PATTERN 8X170. THE CENTER CAPS AND LUGS NUTS ARE INCLUDED.
The guy says that they are off of a 2014 Super Duty...would they work?
went to coil spring front suspension and bigger brakes on the Super Duty trucks (left the '05 EX the same as an '04) with this change the track width was widened about 3.5 inches front and rear. Due to this wider track width the rim backspacing was changed, these late model SD rims ('05+) will sit in about 1.75" too far on each side and will need $pacer$ (lugcentric) to correctly place the tire back to the stock position and eliminate rubbing when turning. The good American made 2" lugcentric $pacer$ will cost between $400 and $600 and can be had in either steel or aluminum.EDIT: The above should read "Hubcentric" and NOT "Lugcentric". (Thanks kabcpapc) The spacers need to center themselves on the hub lip (hubcentric), not on the lug studs via the lug nuts (lugcentric). Stock Ex and SD rims are Hubcentric.
