Anyone know where I can find a new (with AC) heater box? I see all the components but have not been able to find a replacement new or remanufactured plastic box (housing). Need it for a 1978 F100 that we are completely restoring.
Thanks
I doubt anyone remanufactures it ... if it were available, it'd be in the standard catalogs (DC, NPD, JBG, LMC, et al. - linked from sticky threads). Probably have to search the junkyards if yours is trashed.

What type of A/C does it have, factory or dealer installed?
Factory installed: The A/C is combined with the heater, the A/C controls are in the same panel as the heater controls.
Deluxe dealer installed: The A/C is combined with the heater. The two A/C switches are located in the HUGE dash bezel that sweeps across the entire right side of the dash, covering up the glove box. There is a separate 'hang-on' glove box bolted to the bottom of the dash.
Economy dealer installed: The A/C is not combined with the heater. The two A/C switches are located in a panel that also contains two registers, fits into the dash to the left of the glove box.
Maybe clean it real well with soap and water, then use that "bumper renew" or "body molding bring back to life" stuff?
Ask a paint and body shop what they think as far as painting it.
Yeah, that's a good approach. It should be possible to sand/paint it if the surface is scuffed and soap/water + "back to black" or something isn't enough.
