Original steering wheel?

Could be, IIRC that steering wheel was used up to around 1988 or so.

Did you get the whole column? IIRC, '73-'77 columns/wheels aren't interchangeable with '78-'79 columns/wheels.

But the wood graining of the horn pads are different 1978/79 vs 1980/88. They'll all interchange, but...
GM4WALLS: 1973/77: The NSS is located on the steering column. 1978/79: The NSS is located on the transmission.
1971/77 steering wheels are the same (except 1975/77 F100/350 & Econoline with Speed Control), but are not the same as 1978/88.
Upper pic, 1971/72 (same as 1973/77 [1975/77 w/o S/C]): Notice the horn pad and the shape of the spokes vs 1978/79.
