I am looking at an '82 F250 with the 300 and automatic transmission. I can't seem to locate any information through my searching and the owner is not very responsive / knowledgeable. My assumption is that the engine is mated to a C6, but were there other options that were available in '82 that I need to be aware of?
Any information or what to look out for would be greatly appreciated. This truck will mostly be just a DD, but will be used to occasionally pull my flat bed and dump trailers.
So far, I have not been able to get that information out of the owner. I am trying to get him to send me a picture, then all the guessing would be over, but until then I was trying to gather any additional information that would get me closer to an answer.
Thank you for all the replies, I've had a couple of C4's over the years but never a C6. From what I've been able to read they appear to be fairly stout and thus I would assume paired with a 300 should be relatively trouble free?
