Hi!
I am new to this 73-79 forum. I bought a project truck yesterday and have some questions. It's a F150 4X4 1977 with 400cui+C6.
I am looking for door repair panels and have to import this parts from US.
Do you know any place to buy panels with decent quality for a driver. I have been looking at DC and LMC but DC dont have everything I need and LMC have quite a bad reputation. Any suggestions please?
Dennis Carpenter products are #1 and worth the money, then Jeffs Bronco Graveyard, then National Parts Depot, and so on, LMC is way down the list.
Get what you need from who ever has it, but I understand wanting to get it all from one place due to import taxes. I know shipping is a pain, I have sent a few boxes to Gressvic in the past.
Yes, I ment the weld in steel panels because the bottom of the doors are rusted out. I also going to order other parts at the same time to save some money on shipping. Truck parts over here are hard to find and shipping and taxes often make the price 100% over the Us$ price and for heavier parts a lot more. That's why it's so good to have you guys to come up with different suggestions. I appreciate it a lot ! ! ! I Think I will try with NPD or Jeffs B G.
Volvo??? I want real american steel !!!
It's not a bad idea actually.the lower door skins is not hard to make but I am going to need inside door bottoms as well and I dont think I am abled to
make them especially not the rear and front corners.
Tabco would have better steel replacement than bronco graveyard ,npd,dc,the American made tabco stuff is as original as it comes,,,thats the deal you have to ask is this made in Ohio,or is it their aftermarket. TABCO has been a leader in manufacturing and distributing rust repair panels for over 35 years. With our precision steel forming dies and the latest in stamping equipment, we duplicate exactly the characteristics of the original auto body design. TABCO uses the same gauge steel used in the original parts to create a perfect match. Don’t settle for panels that only come close.
The coated steel used in TABCO parts saves time & effort during installation. You do not have to remove primer in the weld area before installation as with painted repair parts. Simply sand weld areas and install. Our AMERICAN-MADE steel provides superior paint adhesion and rust protection.
No one stocks more rust repair parts than TABCO. Every product featured in our catalog is available from our Ohio factory and warehouse for immediate delivery.
Whether you’re stocking rust repair parts or servicing the needs of your customers, we would appreciate the opportunity to earn your business.
Sincerely,
The TABCO Staff
