Fitting 6x9's?

Fitting 6x9's?
Have a pair of Kenwood 6x9 3-ways sitting around the garage collecting dust and debris. Has anybody been able to make 6x9's fit in their F150 Supercab (2011) doors, either front or rear? Not looking to spend money on upgrades, but have to imagine running a half decent set of 6x9's would help, especially since they are not being used at the moment.

I'd look at Crutchfield's site to see what they recommend for installing your 6x9's in your truck.
If you don't mind a bit of metal surgery they could be fitted with little effort. If done correctly you'd not ruin the door shell for possible use of 5x7's later on.

Don't know if you have taken care of it yet, but I have a lot of exp when it comes to messing with car audio sound systems. Chances are your 6x9's are not good anymore as they have not made them in years and they do not last well unless the cones are made of plastic or kevlar. I prefer 6x9's over the 5x7's because they have better sound and much better bass. Kenwood makes good equipment, but their speakers generally are not as high quality. I have actually converted my 5x7's in the back of my last truck to 6x9's, but it was a bitch and did not work out well. Just get a good set of 5x7's if you are not happy with what you have now subwoofer for a little more bass. Boss makes a nice one that comes with an equalizer to help adjust the sound to the 5x7's.
