Another Part number needed, EGR plate is melted

Just got my carb rebuilt and before I re-install it I took a close look at the carb spacer plate.
There is a good portion of the spacer plate melted away and I'm not certain I can re-mount it without a gap/vac leak.

Looking for the part number for the Carb spacer plate/ EGR plate for a 1975 F250 with the 360 engine and auto trans.
Thanks

My EGR plate has no web between the two holes of the carb.
Pics of mine are attached .

Does it matter if I use one similar to the one posted by Gatorfor88 ?
I saw similar ones on Ebay as well, some NOS.

Next question is what went wrong to cause this?
The actual EGR valve?

Thanks

This is actually quite common. Just very high ex temps and chemicals in the ex gas eat it up. There are some aftermarket 1's made now that supposedly dont burn out. I have no experience with them though.

The original factory installed EGR/Carb spacer plate was aluminum, heat caused it to melt internally.

In 1977, Ford replaced the POS aluminum spacer plates with cast iron plates.

1975 F100/350 360/390 2V: There are two different types of EGR valves, two different types of EGR/Carb spacer plates. I need to know the last 6 digits of your VIN

Thanks NumberDummy
I'm fairly certain this truck is all original as I bought it from the original owner with only 60K miles.
Am still in touch with the gentleman as well so I'll ask to make certain.

In any event, the last 6 digits of VIN are W40904

Appreciate all the knowledge and help on this forum.

Well no matter what your parts stuff says, I know it came off the motor that was in a 79 Bronco, because I pulled the motor and the intake myself....

That's nice, but since 36 years have passed by, who knows without a parts catalog, what was original and what wasn't?

1978/79 Bronco 351M/400: D8AZ-9A589-B also 1978/79 Thunderbird 351M/400.

Yes without the parts catalogs and YOUR very hard work we all here FTE and many other automotive forums would not know what the catalogs call for.

Thank you for that.

So yes the books call for one, I just know I took off another...That engine looked as factory as it could except for the aftermarket/probably dealership installed (?) cruise control.

It had a control piece/switch added to the t/s lever, and up under the dash control box with a adjustment screw.

Dealer installed Speed Control was all that was available if the 1978/79 F100/350 & Bronco came with the 3 spoke "sport" steering wheel.

Another pic for your "collection."
