New thing starting happening with the truck, and this is my guess.
Went to take off out of my driveway and heard this awful noise and the truck didn't really want to go anywhere. Once it got over 1500RPM said noise went away. Pulled into a parking lot.
I think the EBPV is sticking or something.
Also noticed that my new downpipe is starting to discolor. Figured it was from being new and changing colors due to heat. But figured i'd post it anyway.
Just watched this video and i realize it's terrible (but if you listen closely towards the end you can hear it.) I'd remake it, but it's getting late and i don't want the neighbors to hate me more than they already do.)
how often do you tow/use your ebpv? if not a lot, i would just delete it if you think its giving you any problems. if you have a ginder/dremel/oxygen acetylene torch and a welder. its not hard at all i did mine in less than 10 minutes r&r. ill explain my method if you chose to delete.

I unplugged it and what i was hearing went away.
I'm just confused as to why it was closing. What was telling it to close and why?
unclamp the exhaust pipe.
take out the three 12pt bolts holding on the ebpv
undo the plunger while taking the ebpv housing off
grind/dremel the two rivets that hold the flapper on
take off flapper
i cant remember if the shaft falls out or not
there is two ways to do this part.
#1:if the shaft falls out, cut off two pieces of appropriate size and weld them into the holes where the shaft used to be.
if the shaft doesnt fall out, use the torch to cut off the shaft as close to the bottom as possible, then cut off the size needed then weld into the new hole.
#2: use welch plugs in place of welding in the piece of the shaft
re-assemble without hooking up the plunger/plugging in the ebpv
i hope all that makes sense and i didnt loose you anywhere
