Started out with a trip to the dealer to look at a used Super Duty. Ended up with this guy following me home:
It's an XLT 301a 4x4 with the 3.5L Eco. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse at $12,500 off MSRP and nearly $4,000 over blue book on the Prius I traded. Not sure how they pulled that off, they beat everyone else's deal by more than $4,000.
Awesome .......glad to to see you stayed in the clan ......so they cut $12,500 off msrp directly ...i.e.like $45k to $32.5k then worked your trade into deal or some other confusing number crunch??? again awesome looks real sharp and more pics

Yup. Not sure why they discounted this one so much.
MSRP was $46,395, and the bottom line sale price they advertised was $34,999. I had a $1,000 certificate from Ford, and an additional $500 because I'm active duty military. I'm a legal resident of New Hampshire, so I don't normally pay sales tax, but the dealer had an internal policy that they couldn't title it out there. So they gave me an additional $1,000 on the trade to offset the sales tax.
My '13 Prius had 55,000 miles, and a KBB value of $10,000 on a trade. I ended up getting $14,000 for it.
This was one of two trucks on the lot discounted this much, the other 203 in their inventory weren't even close.
Yeah that's a steal.......thanks for sharing those #s most guys beat around the bush about what they were able to get off sticker price more than the dealer avoids telling you what your actually paying.......nice to see hard #s
Good looking truck and I see you got the 36 gallon fuel tank!
Now all you need is tow mirrors and your set. As for the 12.5k off, my guess has to do with the Feb 2015 manufacture date. That's been sitting on someone's lot for a long time and they were probably looking to move it on.
The question is why did it sit. Makes you wonder what it doesn't have that the locals wanted.
Elemint is going to be very upset with your box length!
Ha ha, perhaps! I had a short bed on my '13 and was surprised how much I didn't hate it. This time I set out to find a short bed because I wanted the ability to fit in the garage during the winter, and it also makes for easier parking.

Yep, I got lucky with the tank. The manufacture date was my guess as well, but the sales lady wasn't sure. It was one of those bottom-line price dealerships, so the salesmen weren't really involved with pricing. This was one of two trucks priced this far from MSRP, and they beat TrueCar by $5,000. I would have taken it with the small tank for that price. Good thing I didn't have to!

My guess is that it sat because it lacked some options. This was the first truck I drove without the 302a package which included the MyFordTouch display, 110v outlet, and LED lighting. Ford screwed up the pricing with these, as the 302a and 301a are priced almost identically with how they structure rebates.
If I were ordering the truck it would have had the 302a package and 3.31 gears. But I think I'm gonna be real happy with this one, it has everything I need and most of what I want.
