Hello all,
i'm new to this site but i need some real input. i have a freind w/ a 97 f-150 w/ v6 who really wants to swap his engine with either a 4.6 or prefferably a 5.4. he would like to keep it a 5 spd aswell
i'm trying to get us some info on this, as i will be the one helping. i've swapped some pretty interesting things in the past to include an lt1 powered mustang, a 5.0 ranger, and a lt-1 powered jaguar; oh all were fuel injected.
i believe i can do it but i need to know what will work like tranny, wiring harness, fuel system, engine mounts, ac brackets/compressor, power steering and what not...........
it seems the easiest; if he wants to pursue this is to buy a wrecked truck with the stuff he wants and build one good one, but its not mine.
any help suggestions, misc. comments, sites with this info, experiance
