Brian and JWA – thanks to both of you for the tips on checking fuses (as well as the other electrical information.) After that I did recheck my fuses and all of them are good.

I am a bit of a novice with electrical systems. I know the basics but with so many of the components inaccessible it makes it tough to conduct a methodical test. I've gotten a bit father into things but I want to look over the schematics again to see if I can figure some of this out and not waste your time.

The cargo area of my van is paneled (and would be a lot of work to take off) so I'm going to borrow a friend's flexible borescope to see if I can determine whether I have a RKE module or not. I'll report back after that (and with a little luck may have the EVTM by then.)

Thanks again for all of the help so far!

By the way, I disconnected the alarm as soon as I came across so I could at least rule that out of the equation.

Thanks for your patience (patients?) as we completely forgot about you!

No seriously, if you can make a youtube video of that 'procedure' it would be cool to see....and some of us might even bestow all kinds of...what was it? reps...props...whatever its called...

Once your EVTM arrives it should make sense if you have even a small amount of electrical knowledge or are familiar with electricity in general.

I'm racking my brain thinking of an easier way to determine if RKE is present---the biggest sign would be a Ford key fob with three buttons. Of course its entirely possible the previous owner didn't include them with the sale so the lack of those doesn't mean a lot at this point.

We're here to help when you're ready---------let us know your progress please.
