The last few days my truck has been smoking at start up . GP's are 6 mos old , harnesses ,gaskets & UVCH ( all ford) the same ,also running a Stancor GPR . No trouble starting even with only 2 good GPS last year. I let the GP's go for about 25 -30 seconds , smokes . Today , I was thinking about it as I started the truck to go home . Key on 10 or so seconds , off & back on for 5 . No smoke . (go figure ) .
What I found interesting was the time it took for the beru to heat up . I'm planning on doing some testing of my own soon .
I'm interested in opinions . This may be why the Berus are not usually stuck in the head .
Interesting enough I have been having starting issues with my truck since the temp dropped. It has a single hit them dies. Usually the second try it will Fire up. My fuel pump initially comes on with the glow plugs but today I noticed the pump didn't come on till the wts light turned off. I waited another 10 second and she fired up trouble free. Weird.
