I have an occasional problem on take off with my truck, a '95 300 six and 5 speed. I'll ease off the clutch to go and as the truck moves, it will sometimes "stumble" or "hiccup" and bog momentarily. Now if I were to rev it up to 2500 rpms or higher and then ease the clutch it'll still stumble but without the bog. Any ideas what could be causing it to do this??
Does it do it at low RPM's and full throttle too? Put it in second gear when you're rolling slow, so that the motor is almost bogging down. Then floor it. If it stumbles when you do that then it probably just wants a new set of plugs and wires. Cap and rotor wouldn't hurt either.

If I'm sitting in traffic, the truck will be idling fine at about 1000 rpms and then it would drop momentarily. It's when I'm letting off the clutch and trying to get rolling that it will stumble...if I bring the revs up to 2500 to 3000 rpms then the stumble isn't too bad.....
Check all the hoses and stuff with a can of starting fluid or carb cleaner. If it revs when you spray a certain area you may have found your leak. Found my upper intake leak that way. Good luck.

Yup, thanks, that's how I check for vacuum leaks...
As someone who has had a similar issue which is related to the EGR, I would try pulling the vacuum line off the EGR and plugging it. If issue goes away it may be related to the EGR Control Solenoid or EGR valve itself.

One of my mechanic friends at work says he doubts it's the EGR because the problem only occurs at low idle....
At this point, I've replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor along with the IACV and the problem is still there albeit to a lesser degree...I'm guessing that since I've thrown this much into it, I may as well replace the TPS too....
