clutch
my 74 f100 4speed in shop getting a new clutch
the trouble i was having going up a hill and im 3rd gear
and the the gas to floor and it would only go about 30mph
truck has died on me couple of times but start back up
if im on flat level its ok. it has new carb filter plugs and wire
shold i have anything else check ? or do you think the clutch
should fix it ? thanks.

in 2nd the rpm was high when in 3rd the rpm didn't go high, it seem like it had no power, to go up the hill also to get it into 2nd i had to come to a stop before it go into 2nd.
double clutching didn't help.

check with shop. said they are waiting on flywheel he said they had it flywheel couple of hours. said they should get it back in hour. as for clutch'
said it. clutch worrn down to ribbitsn it was thin.

got truck back. he said they may had taken a little to much off flywheel.
he had welded a piece on to bolt that adjust clutch. the clutch pedel about half way. he said give a month he may need rejust it again. he said took about 3 hours on flywheel. as far as truck it seems to drive better 2nd gear a little hard to down shift into.
