I have a 2000 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4L V8 Triton and whenever we are driving there is a single beep that occurs every so often. I have checked all doors including back hatch, abs light and airbag system as well as seat belts in the vehicle and it is still occuring. I have also done a cluster test as well and cannot come up with anything. Can anyone give me an idea of what else it might be?
Check to see if fuse #22 is good in the inside fuse box under the dash. Also, when you first turn the key on check to see if the airbag light comes on.
If my 2003 is similar, check to see if it is the washer fluid level warning. It took awhile to figure what it was. It goes off when making corners and when braking. Drove me nuts for a few weeks when I first got the truck.
Did you ever find the problem? I have the exact same thing with my 2006 Navigator, no warning lights, etc. a single beep about every 30 seconds. If I slightly engaged the emergency brake...it stops
Take a look at the parking brake switch under the dash on the parking brake pedal assembly. It might've come loose. If it looks damaged replace it. Or, it's only $20 at Rock Auto. You might just replace it anyway. Or unplug it and see if that changes anything.
