The highboy trucks were made from '64? to mid-year '77, they were only F250s. The difference between them and the F100/F150 4x4s was that they had more narrow frames, in-cab fuel tanks, and factory lift blocks. Starting mid-year '77, they were produced in the same manner as the F150s

1959/76 F250 4WD's & 1977 F250 4WD's before serial number Y20,001 are called High Boys, have a divorced transfer case, in-cab fuel tank.
The narrow rear frames (width between the inner frame rails behind the cab) only apply to 1973/77's.
