F250 questions
I have been looking at a F250 out in a field that I am trying to figure out if it is a highboy. I haven't been able to look at it good. I know 1977 was the last year for the in cab fuel tank so do any of the last highboys have the fuel tank under the bed?
I can tell this truck does not have the in cab tank. It has the 76-77 grille inserts. The F250 emblem is on the cowl instead of the fender. The truck has tall weeds all around it but it seems like it is higher than a 78-79 F250.

Thanks, some of the things about the 77 model Highboys had me a little confused since I have read so many things about them today. Kinda sucks its not a highboy butI am still going to get it if I can.

In high grass like up mentioned you will really need to check the frame. I found a 1979 F-350 4X4 and got it home only to fine the frame all rotted out at the rear spring mounts, ended up parting it and scraping it.

My uncle knows the guy that owns it so he is gonna try to check on it for me. The truck may not even be for sale. My uncle said he remembers it was used on the farm hauling cow/horse trailers and other towing duties around the farm. He said it has been parked about 5 years since the guy's father passed away, I am sure the truck is probably totally wore out so I am not looking to give much for it.
