Vacuum assistance needed

New to the whole forum thing, but need some insight. Just rebuilt the engine on my 94 Bronco XLT. Starts and runs, but just barely. I'm not certain I have the vacuum lines hooked up correctly, and I can't seem to find any useful information anywhere on connection.

I'm questioning this connection right here.

There is also the question of what exactly connects to this connection?

I have no other vac lines to connect to this. I am wondering if the line attached to the pink one is supposed to go here instead?

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time working on fuel injection, and the vac lines are confusing me just a little bit.

Here is the offending area in its entirety.

I really like this truck and would enjoy being able to use it again. I had to rebuild due to a large coolant leak from the manifold to head connection. That problem in nice and solved, but need to get it running better. Can't get the RPMs over about 1100. I suspect I need to adjust the distributor for that, but I need to be sure these vac lines are in order first. Thanks in advance for any help.

There is a line that is supposed to run from the vacuum tree on the intake, it runs to a splitter, at that point on the splitter, one line runs to the port in your second picture, and the other runs into the cab, I believe both is for vent operation/control.

The last picture shows the correct connection. That is the vapor canister purge solenoid that hooks into the throttle body, in which is connected to the vapor canister.

I have the same year and engine. I'll double check the hookup tomorrow (Tuesday).

The A/C evaporator case has a small vacuum reservoir attached to the side of it, that is the open connection in pic 2.

do you not have the vacuum routing sticker on the core support or under the hood? looks like your really close. frankly neither of those should cause engine to not run well though unless the lines coming off the intake arent plugged.

Like tigerhawk says, the canister purge solenoid is hooked up correctly to the throttle body.

The other vac line connection issue is wrong. I think you'll need a vac diagram to trace it out. Look at pic 3, see that reddish vac line that is coming up next to the passenger side head? It has a black 90 degree on the top of it. That line should then have a T on it, one end of the T goes to the vac reservoir on the side of the evaporator, the other end of the T goes to a black vac line that goes into a harness near the blower motor. So that leaves your top hose near the firewall going somewhere else. Once hoses start to be placed musical-chair-wise by mistake, it's best to have a diagram and look at them all.

I agree with Kem on the running issue vs. vacuum. Though if you've got vacuum to the EGR valve full time, you will have major problems, as you should not have EGR until higher RPM and under the right conditions.
