So the door lock actuator on my drivers door was getting too weak for the key fob to work. How lazy we have become!
So while I am changing it I decide to change the window drive motor out as well cuz its a little slow. I watch a couple of you tube videos. I'm now a pro and have this handled!
Well.......I kind of fast forwarded through the video and didn't catch the part where the window track has one hell of a spring on it. You can see where this is going.
7 stitches and a reattached thumb later..... I now know the error of my ways. For all of you that have done this the proper way and wondered how much force that little devil has, let me tell you. A lot!
But she is all back together now and working like a champ. Just thought I would share my experience in hopes that someone else doesn't do this.
It was only mare flesh wound , Glad you got it all taken care of. But the real question is did you you fix it while still wounded or see the E room first. You know a little duct tape, gauze to hold you over.
This is why my wife gets nervous when I start a project on my truck. But she never complains about how much the dealer charges for labor. Sometimes it's less then the deductible on a ER visit.
Hope the thumb makes a full recovery.
