Reassurement that you're in good hands with the 7.3

Our trucks may not have the most plush suspension technology, but you can't argue stone cold reliability, longevity, durability and simplicity. Long live the 7.3.

Just watch it.....

The 7.3 trucks aren't all they're cracked up to be.

Only 533,000 miles on mine and I had another tail light bulb go out today. (3157 bulb for anyone else stranded with the same condition)

That video is so full of holes, it's a hoot. At 10:15 or so, he says that the 6.0 'doesn't have engine failures because it doesn't have DEF, etc.- while pointing to the 6.0 that he just did an engine rebuild on. Sheesh. Apparently, he doesn't like the 6.4 due to its 'International' engine (made by Ford, actually) and its bad front end. He mixes and matches truck problems with engine problems to bolster his 'case' - such as he has one. I'll take my rough-riding 7.3 'dinosaur' and keep it away from his shop.

the 6.4 is made by navistar. the 6,7 is the ford engine

and every time you watch one of his videos, he makes money.

that is why no one should ever click on a link to powerstrokehelp dude

....not sure how to respond here....I guess my LEDS should last 1,000,000 miles then?? Oh WAIT your bulbs sir use filament based technology which will burn out after use and last typically last a few years if at most...

my 88 has all it's original bulbs in it that it came from the factory with, except for the driver side rear that had to be replaced when i backed into a downed light pole in a whiteout plowing and broke the bulb.
and the truck has a little over 494,000 miles on it, even though miles don't mean anything, it is the age that matters.

agreed, and also how abused the bulbs are, my bulbs typically last about 6 months (but I also drive with lights on for safety too), but as they burn out I replace them with LED bulbs hehe

That's impressive Tom. An old guy like you, I'm guessing you probably even had the blinker on for 493,000 of those miles.
