NEED HELP!! headlight switch **** removal
Gosh dang it!!!! I've got a bunch of the interior taken apart so I can prep for painting, but the stinkin **** for the headlights won't pull off.
Isn't it the same as the wiper ****? I just pulled that baby right off. I've already messed up the **** trying to yank it out with the pliers.
I do have a nifty replacement idea though... Those nice knurled metal ***** from electric guitars! It will look SWEET!
Any who, if anyone can let me know if there's a secret to this, I'm kinda stuck on this interior project.
I appreciate any help you can give. I'm aftraid to pull any harder!

If you put your hand behind the dash and grab the light switch you will notice a small button on the top center . You will have to pull the light **** out a little as you are pushing that little button down. It's not an exact science, you will have to move them both a bit.
Note. disconnect battery or your lights will stay on.

Oh yeah.... I already disconnected the battery. Just after I tried to remove the steering wheel and the horn went off.

To avoid any more damage to your truck you might just want to invest in a repair manual. There are commercial manuals from Haynes and Chiltons. There are also OEM Ford service manuals available on CD from our online store.
Manuals will save you MANY times their cost on repairs, -and in your case damage to your vehicle -hehe
