Transmission Bypass Replace or Rebuild

I have searched everywhere for this and cannot find the answer. It seems as if everyone is replacing the whole bypass unit but i also found a rebuild kit at E40D 4R100 Transmission cooler bypass valve kit Sonnax 36605-02K

Which should I do? Also I am only doing this because my transmission overheats, I know that it is either a shot bypass valve or clogged cooling lines, I just replaced the radiator a few months ago so I do not think it is clogged there the only place I can think is the stock tranny cooler.

Any help is appreciated.

Did you replace the aux cooler, too? It could be the problem.

I'd do the rebuild kit. The bypass isn't rocket science, the rebuild kit is just as good as replacing the whole thing.
