Yeah I had been thinking about your fuel filter comment too, I did put a brand new one on when I rebuilt the carb a couple years ago and it may have seen 5k miles, but it was aftermarket (of course), so I thought maybe it had gotten clogged or otherwise messed up like you said. It still wouldn't explain why the truck will show these symptoms, but within 5 seconds of shutting off, be perfectly driveable again. It probably wouldn't hurt for me to check it anyway. I'm gonna double check my ignition system today to see if it's the TFI or the Duraspark, I am pretty sure it's the latter but I only glanced at it after work on Thursday and it was getting dark.
