Grabbed a D60 to replace the ttb
I just got my hands on a d60 from a 97 f350. I picked up the axle, Leaf springs and all of the steering assembly from a Craigslist junker. This axle will replace the junk ttb in my 97 f250. I've never done an axle swap on my own or on one of these trucks so there's some learnin that needs to be done and I'm hoping someone who's done an sas could give me some direction. First, how important is the sway bar on this axle? Is this something I can get away with removing from the final setup or am I better off keeping it?

it really is as easy as unbolting all the old stuff and bolting in the new.
make sure you use all the F-350 parts though.
front sway bar is not needed, none of my trucks ever had one before i got the 02 diesel. and the 04 F-350 don't have one either.

Good to know. Thanks man. I'm picking up the drive shaft and transfer case yoke tomarrow to complete the kit. After that it's a complete tear down and rebuild of the axle. I'm sure I'll have more questions as this project progresses.
