Smile wiring diagram

anyone got an early model wiring diagram for an e-150 van ?

I need the wiring diagram that is for a non-computer carb / points type distributor.

I am going to an all manual set-up with this SURFER VAN .

I will of course use the pertronics electronic distributor set-up in my distributor.

I already have the new 2 barrel manifold for my 302, 5.0 motor.

I do a lot of far-out travalling & I just do not need the computerized problems that can arise .......... an all manual electric system & a 5 speed transmission will solve all of any future problems.

Man, you really want to file points every 2,000 miles?
Best thing EVER happened, is electronic ignition. PERIOD
I lived back then, believe me, you don't want to go back to points.

I had a dodge charger that had a terrible problem with their distributors. We changed it to a Mallory dual point also did away with the vacuum advance as it was all manual. Worked great. I tiik out one set of points and it was still good. Later in my ford 400 I installed an electronic conversion unit and it was even better. I also found one for my HD sportster in which the points were always a problem.

So rather than anything else get one of these units if ya can. I think that was the indication in your last sentence was it not?

I believe "The Droom" has a 89 van. I am guessing it would have the TFI ignition like my 85 had.I had the feedback carb on mine but doesn't a 89 have fuel injection?

I went with the DSII conversion because I was having intermittent problems with skipping and running rough. Once I understood the wiring, how the DSII ignition worked, and half way knew what I was doing, it seemed pretty straight forward. From everything I have read, the DSII is much better then points and much less problems then the TFI/feedback carb system.

A while back I was at a shop that restores older cars and the guys there were talking about upgrading from a carb to fuel injection and how much better it was then the carb. On the other hand my mother has a 78 E100 with DSII and a 2bbl carb. It has 186k on it and the carb has never been touched and we have only replaced one DS module.
