So my truck won't start and I'm out of ideas on how to fix it. It had been running and just cutting out here and there but now it won't start. Over the last several months I have changed the battery, spark plugs, maf sensor, 02 sensor, and cleaned the k & n filter. The starter is good, fuel pump is good. Any ideas on what is going on with it would be appreciated
Sounds like classic symptoms of a failing PIP (Profile Ignition Pickup, which is the sensor in the distributor that detects engine rotation) and you will probably find a PIP fault code waiting for you in the computer, which you should do before you replace any more parts. Did you check for spark at all?
Another thing is if this is a dual tank truck and both tanks are known to be in working condition, have you tried starting it on both tanks assuming there is fuel in both?

I checked it and it didn't read back any codes. It only has one fuel tank. I'm gonna try to check the spark but im bout to give up and send it to the mechanic
Look up this video on YouTube 1988 f150 won't start by scannerdanner.. I know yours is a little knewer but sounds like similar issue. My truck is not starting to and this sounds exactly like what the problem is.. First thing tomorrow morning I'm gonna be trying this same thing. Another symptom is you won't be able to read any codes which I can't pull any either hope this helps..
