My '64 F-250 has an older shell on it. The window felt/ runners are shot making it near impossible to move the slider. Anyone here ever worked on them or know where to get smaller window channel felts like the generic types that are available for doors?
Thanks, john
From Tucson, eh? I'm a Phoenix native but left 25 years ago due to their excessive growing pains ! I would think a camper or RV supply store (which there use to be some out there) would have something that would work. Many years ago, I built a camper shell on a 1958 F-600 flatbed. Amateur and trial and error by someone who had no experience at such a project but I made it look decent.
I got the '66 F-100 at the beginning of summer, 240 w/3 on the tree. Dents and dings but super solid with non of the work needed that other people have had to do. The '64 belonged to my neighbor who is now in a nursing home. It will need more work on the cab corners and maybe a driver side door, but the price was right. A PO put a 390 in place of the 292 it originally came with.
