Sorry I had to laugh at this but I was at a meeting Wed and I gave my friend crap about selling his Chevy truck He said he sold it to buy a Mini-van with better mileage He said his van now gets 24MPG I said thats all? My 1 ton gets 18 Then the guys with 2 other powerstrokes light up at the table. 1 has a 6.4 and a 6.7. And the 6.7 guy said he cant get close to what his old 7.3 was getting I told him you never will either. As all the pollution stuff has taken away from them MPG. I also got into the issues with the 6.4 and the divorce with International. And how Ford came out with it's own engine from that. Low and behold Chevy boy pipes up about duramax something he didnt even have nor knows nothing about. I said you do know that is still made by Isuzu right? And Chevy has not made it's own diesel since that 6.2 that replaced the 350 diesel that was no world beater for sure. In fact still has people spooked/scared about buying a diesel in a CAR to this day in America. Not another word was said by him I think I made him go lay by his dish after that.

 

Yeah, the diehards, knew a guy once that was going to buy a (late 90's) Monte Carlo cause it was EXACTLY THE SAME as the ones that race Nascar and was the fastest car on the road.
