I want to do a coolant flush on my new to me Ex. Are these the heater hoses with some type of sensor on top? From reading past threads, it's a vacuum actuated heater control valve? Looks like I have two heater hoses: one for front and one for rear? If I am to use a "T" to flush the cooling system, should I tap into the one leading to the engine?
Both those hoses should go into the heater core, one is feed and the other is return.
When I flushed mine, I just pulled a radiator hose and ran the engine while flushing it. If you cycle the heater to max hot, you'll flush the core out as well. That switch should be the vacuum actuated heat control from the dash panel IIRC.
